Home National Bird-Feeding Month Hatching Out - An Introduction to the Wild Bird Feeding Hobby Feeders for Birds
Feeders for Birds

Presenting the most preferred foods to attract birds to your yard is only the first step to achieve an enhanced bird feeding experience.  The next step is to select the most preferred bird feeder.  Look for bird feeders with durable construction that are easy to fill, hold a large capacity of seed, are simple to clean, and keep the seed dry.

There are three major bird feeder types: platform, hopper and tube.  Tubular feeders provide access to smaller birds, while hopper and platform feeders allow larger birds to perch.  There are also specialty feeders that hold suet, nectar, fruits, and insects.

To learn more about the bird feeder preferences of your favorite backyard birds, view the NBFS Bird Feeders page.
