|About the National Bird-Feeding Society|
Established in 1989, the National Bird-Feeding Society (NBFS) helps make the backyard bird feeding and watching hobby better - for people and wild birds. The NBFS accomplishes its mission by connecting hobbyists with education and research about backyard bird feeding.
This website serves as a comprehensive resource for people who feed wild birds and to connect people to the natural world through backyard bird feeding. We believe that this website and membership in the NBFS will enhance your bird feeding experience. On the website, you will learn more about the seed and feeder preferences of wild birds and find the most current news and developments in backyard bird feeding.
The NBFS promotes education and research on backyard birds. Educational information and materials will be available to members through e-newsletters and other electronic media. Basic information can be accessed by the general public through this website but the most comprehensive information will be available to NBFS members.
Since 2003, Wild Bird Centers of America, Inc. is proud to serve as a corporate sponsor of the NBFS. Wild Bird Center stores offer bird walks and other community education programs. They have supported birding research projects for over 20 years as exemplified by their support of the NBFS.
We are sure that you will find the information you need on this website or you may contact us directly. Thank you for being a supporter of the NBFS!
